...and became Zebra teamrider last season. So now it’s a complete set of Zebra’s I use and participate in all kind of races now. I fly the Zebra Z2.There is some vagueness about the different models of the Z2 that are out there. Actually it’s really easy but because of all kind of forums and talking people get confused and stories about all kind of different kites/bridles/fabrics appear.
To get some clarity for people who want to know, Zebra kites produces two kind of models at the moment. The Z1 and the Z2. Bothe kites are made of the same fabric. The Z1 is a beginner kite and has some thicker bridles.The Z2 was first produced in june 2008. This first production batch was a copy of the Bora2. In july 2008 the model was changed and new production started, that became the Zebra Z2 the most people are familiar with right now. From the first day the Z2 is produced with really thin bridles. The only thing is that there is one batch with older models, it’s only a few kites. You can detect these kites looking on the bag. This first production was for a serie for 2.5 till 12. All the new productions are 2.5 till 14. I admit it was a little confusing but the most stories are not true. And also team riders do not use other kites than the ones that are sold now.
